The Pourquoi Pas ? left the port of Pointe-à-Pitre on Tuesday evening around 21:00 local time. Wednesday morning, a first Ulyx dive was carried out to test the multibeam sounder. Unfortunately, positional difficulties prevented the AUV from reaching the bottom and acquiring the data for the test.

On the night of 13-14 July, the ship returned to Guadeloupe to evacuate a crew member for medical reasons: we are pleased to announce that he has now fully recovered.

We then made our way to the second working zone (a recent volcanic zone) located between Pointe-à-Pitre and the first exploration target of the ISA contract.

Once at the volcanic zone, we deployed the CTD probe and tested a first rock dredge and a second Ulyx dive test is planned.
